in the grounds of The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is Dubai's only villa-style
hotel: Beit Al Bahar or 'the house by the sea'. Designed to recreate
a traditional Arabian village, it consists of just 19 Barasti-style
villas, set amongst lush tropical vegetation on the edge of a huge
private beach. Guests staying in the villas have full access to
all the facilities at the neighbouring Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
Your Arabian experience begins at check-in. Majilis, more of a Bedouin
tent than a lobby, is where you are welcomed with open arms. You
are then led through winding narrow passageways, reminiscent of
a local medina, to your own private villa, a haven of peace and
quiet. Here you can check in privately to refresh yourselves with
cold towels and cool drinks. 
Personal & Private - Guests' names are written in Arabic
on the traditional wooden doors, behind each of which is an
Arabian delight. Light, airy rooms decorated with authentic
mahogany furnishings, Persian rugs and brightly coloured bolster
cushions. Terracotta tile flooring is refreshingly cool ont
he soles of your feet and the stained glass windows filter
and cool the hot desert sun.
The Bathroom is both traditional and luxurious, with its
round bath beautifully complemented with brass fittings. Perfect
for a revitalising soak after an afternoon siesta.
Once you've taken stock of the room, step onto your private
terrace and soak up the scenery. As well as dining facilities,
terraces have sun loungers and a plunge pool, carefully tucked
away to ensure the ultimate degree of privacy.
Tear yourself away from the tranquility of your villa and
there is plenty to entertain you. The pool side restaurant
and gardens are serenely peacefull and strictly for guests,
yet only a short walk away is The Jumeirah Beach Hotel. As
a resident of Beit Al Bahar you may use all the facilities
here, includingthe resturants, shops watersports and the Wadi
Wadi Water Park.
